Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India
I hold 2 credit cards which i have used more that 3 years where i was a good payer. Even for my good credit history my credit facility was increased drastically. Later i have lost my job and was not able to repay the payment and keep on paying the minimum amount. But all these amount went in waste as next month my bill seems to be increased. So i request call centre agent to stop billing for some months so i can repay the amount but they didnt do that for a genuine client like me. Now i stopped payment and defaulted. I have received a legal notice now and what will be their next step and what can i do now.

you may wait for them to take the legal step and before the court, you may express your inability to pay the money at one go and ask for easy instalments.
