Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India
I'm HSBC credit card defaulter. I ignored a legal notice from Bank's advocates asking me to pay the amount outstanding within seven days. I'm not in financial state to pay back the amount. Can they issue a warrant against me. Please suggest me what should I do. I'm very tensed.

non payment of dues is a civil liability and not criminal. therefore no questions of warrant of arrest. it is a pressure tactic of the bank. you may settle with bank or write to their ombudsman for rescheduling the payment
as you cannot pay, you may wait for their legal action. nowadays the recovery agents keep threatening the debtor and it is illegal. when you receive the notice either u/s 138 or civil court, then you may defend your case through lawyer. you may contact a lawyer for stopping them from making you such calls.
