Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I am from Hyderabad and i had taken a personal loan from a Finance Company of Kolkatta a year back. Due to financial crisis i was not able to pay 5 monthly installments, the collection guys were literally harassing us so i posted a complaint in the local daily. Soon after that, the company sent my cheque for withdrawal and it was dishonored due to lack of funds. now they have sent me a summon from Kolkatta court. I hired a lawyer and sent him to Kolkatta to attend the hearing on my behalf in March and the 2nd hearing is scheduled for 28th June, now that lawyer is very sick and will not be able to attend the hearing.
What should i be doing now?
I am willing to clear the outstanding payment but none of the finance company representatives are co-operating.
What if i skip this 28th June Kolkatta court hearing? Will they issue an arrest warrant?
Please help me!
