I have been told by ICI** Lom**** that they have--name removed--recorded consent (telephonic) that I had given to issue--name removed--policy from them. based on that my credit card with ICICI has been charged--name removed--specific amt. I need to know how legal is--name removed--recorded telephone consent binding in such cases.

Yes, phone consent is binding; consent apart, you have provided them a lot many details on phone which constitute a binding contract; However, you may withdraw the consent and cancel the policy by writing them.
