Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I have lent a sum of Rs 100000 to a friend, signing a legal stamp paper, 4 years ago. Now he is refusing to give me back my money, is that agreement on the stamp paper, valied after 4 years, so that I can file a case against him. Please reply.

No. the limitation to file a recovery suit is 3 years.
