Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I m holder of a credit card from one of the most reputed private bank in India. So far I have always paid the O/T amt without any delay. Now with some latest purchase they have levied some exorbitant charges on my card. Interest has been charged on total outstanding even after paying more 50% of the amt O/T for a certain period. Now if I disagree to pay the total interest & pay interest only on O/T amt which is left after first payment can the bank sue me as a defaulter customer? And what will be the other legal consequences in future?

Dear Sir / Madam,

If you have been overcharged on your Credit Card, you may immediately write to the Bank providing them with the detail of the overcharge and asking them to rectify the error thereon with a confirmation of having rectified the same to you in writing. Once confirmed by the Bank, the issue is resolved.
