third party cheque

Collection agency represented a third party cheque to my credit card account without my knowledge just to fulfill its lead. A cheque get bounced and bank is threatening to file case under sec138. I informed at customer care that cheque is never issued by me nor I know who has issued the cheque in my account. ?

Can a case can be filed against me what is the legal remedy for such wrong tactics used by such agencies

After cheque bouncing, the payee is required to serve a demand notice upon the drawer; you may send a suitable reply to the demand notice denying your liability.
