if a payment is made agaist the bounce cheque and still that cheque is not returned by the concerned company what action can be taken.

in case you have the proof that you have paid the concerned amount, this would be your defence in case he files a case under negotiable instruments act.

A receipt for payment may be sufficient; you do not have to bother about the bounced cheque.
