Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India
I have taken a personal loan and outstanding on my credit cards in Dubai. Can these banks take a legal action against me for non-payment while I am in India? Do UAE banking laws prevails in India too?

They may send their arrest warrant to Indian court and if there is treaty among countries then India will definatly take action against you to send u behind bars.

You have to give any correspondence that these UAE banks had with you to a lawyer and ask for his advice.

they an initiate the process of recovery of their dues in india but you can defend your case and pay through flexible instalments. even though the bank doesnt have a branch in india, they can sue you through their attorney in india.
