Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I propose to give a personal cash loan to my friend of Rs.3,00,000/- against pronote only. Let me know that whether it is enough to get signature only or thumb impression is need? and it is necessary to get signature from him in Rs.20/- stamp paper?

you have to made an loan agreement and it must be registered as per registration law .
