regardig cheque without date
someone has given a cheque to me as settlement money after cenclltion of our aggrement for immigreation. after receive this cheque i come to know that this is without date. when i ask the bank about balance in related account,surprisly the balance was very low, i want to take a legal action against that immigration firm,could you please advise me regarding this issue.

this can not be problem to file a suit u/s 138.so you can file a suit a u/s 138 of N.I Act

Good Afternoon!
You may contact a local lawyer and issue a legal notice and fill the date and deposit in the bank.
It will get returned and on receipt of memo showing insufficient funds you may initiate proceedings u/s. 138 of the NI Act.
In case of need please contact personally alongwith the documents.

You may fill up a current date and present the cheque. Appropriate legal action - civil and criminal - may be initiated if the cheque is not honored and money is not received despite demand notice.
