Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

We are in tourism industry. One of my travel agent had confirmed the booking from us and paid the half of the amount. Rest of te amount he is not Paying. I had cheque of the amount and it gets Bounced due to lack of funds.

Now what should I do? and how much time it will take to get the payments.

your remedy is two fold. One file a criminal complaint against the agent for dishonour of cheque after giving him a legal notice of dishonour. Secondly file a summary suit for recovery. You may in addition write to IATA for cancellation of his agency or get him black listed so that he may not be able to deal with another
