Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India
A four year old credit card debt has been assigned to a collection agency. The agency in question wanted to have a negotiated debt settlement in return for a settlement letter in my favor. However, the negotiation failed on account of my offering less than 25% of original debt as payment in full and final settlement. For the past few weeks nothing is heard from the agency by way of phone calls or reminders.. Is there any possibility of their suing me? I am a service pensioner having quite a lot of hardships including cardiac ailments.
