Can 498a case be taken back? Is there any possibility that any counter case can be filed against the lady/ her family? What is the procdeure to take 498a case back?

What i have understood is that a FIR u/s 498A has been registered ,it can only be quashed by a petition u/s482 of Crpc before the High Court and no where else.

Mr. Kalra is right. A joint petition may be filed for withdrawl and/or quashing of the complaint.

in case the quashing is done on the basis of compromise and in the compromise it is written that no party would file any litigation against each other pertaining to cases already filed, the girl may not face the consequences in future.
