Re: 498a
Deposition of witnesses is the basic evidence or proof called oral evidence and same is corroborated by video, audio, medical etc. evidence. If oral evidence inspire confidence and prove the offence, same is sufficient for conviction.
Re: 498a
It matters on the confidence of the proof which should inspire and amount the capibility of the case strongly then it can amount to conviction.
Re: 498a
can not be convicted without trial, but problems do come
u have to face trial or generally they get compromised
Re: 498a
Do you really think that a bride enters a matrimonial home with video or audio recorder or the neighbours near the matrimonial home will depose against their neighbours (in-laws). There are no classes of witnesses. Only thing is that the deposition shld inspire confidence. Remember the matrimonial crimes are committed within the four walls of a house. Most of the evidence is oral in such cases. Which document can prove cruelty.
Re: 498a
498-A is a matrimonial crime which is committed within four walls of house,so the evidence of relatives are vital and are sufficient to held the culprit guilty. You can not expect that bride shall come with video recorder etc.
