498a and rcr
my husand cheated and married me saying that he is an engineer buy he is unemployed,later my husand and in laws started torturing me saying that i am ugly and am from a very poor family,due to some reason i had to leave my sasural,i love my husand a lot and i want to live with him,i did go to my sasural but my in laws did not let me enter the house.my husband keeps abusing my parents,and also spreads this rumour that my mother and i are into prostitution,now he wants to give me divorce and i dont want to divorce him at any cost and i have filed in for a 498a which is a true case,i know he wants to divorce me ecause i am ugly,why in the first place did he marry me and spoiled my life,why should i leave him so easily.i always cared for my husband and loved him a lot,but now i am shattered totaly.pls do not tell me to leave him.he had also filed for RCR before i filed 498a to save himself,ut i came to know aout it only after i filed the 498a.can u pls guide me?i am suffering a lot

Engage good counsel. say to the court that you are ever ready to lead your matrimonial life and contest the case.

You are on the right path; keep pursuing your 498-a case and you may also consider claiming compensation under domestiv violence laws.
