Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
17 acre ancestral agricultural land is there in my mother's name. My father and mother died. I have 1 brother and 4 sisters. My sisters did not have share in the property before the death of my mother in 1993 because all got married before 1980.My mother was against giving property to my sisters but my sisters and their husbands wanted property. When I went abroad my mother died suddenly within 5 months of my departure. My sisters informed me only after her death. They told me my mother died due to cancer but they did not admit her to any cancer hospital. They gave her treatment from local doctor and announced in the village that my mother is suffering from cancer and will not survive much. Water was filling in my mother's stomach so they kept her without food and water and admitted to hospital only one day before her death. My mother was uneducated woman and does not knew any law or will. My sisters and their husbands did not arrange a lawyer for writing a will because they knew my mother will not give property to them and they can get property only if my mother died without will. This way they finished my mother and became legal heirs in 1993. Now I have filed partition suit. What are the legal options to prevent my sisters taking share in my mother's property.
