138 negotiable act

I had make a case in 138 negotiable act. But after 2-3 date the judge gave me a date after 1 year, i want know that what is the provision for given a date by acourt, what that date made can be short

I have dealt with a similar case and got a favourable order from High court to dispose off the case in fixed time period.

Date in a case is given by the court as per its convenience and depending on work load of the court.You may move an application in court requesting for preponment of the case.

There are express provisions in the Negotiable Instruments Act itself providing for disposal of a prosecution u/s.138 expeditiously.

though there is express provision to conclude the case withen 6months,but due to over burden of case courts are compelled to adjourn long date.pray before court to finish as arly as possible.
