Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
An accused commited a cognizable offence, is it mandotary for the police to arrest the accused? Give answer in view of the criminal law amendment act 2008.

no. it is not necessary for police to arrest accused in any cognizable offence. it is choice of the investigation officer
