Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
in acriminal case police has not produced any document to show that they have made any investigation from the point of view of the deffence. at the same time there are some materials to sopport deffence view.is this areason for acquittal? my friend says there is a judgement in this regard.

Police are duty bound to investigate on the version of defence as the purpose of an investigation to find out truth.
However, failure of police in this behalf is not a singular ground for acquittal.
