Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
During my admission in Engineering College in 1996 the college administration without my knowledge gave me a seat in "Sportsman Quota" which I am was not entitled to. After completing my Engineering, I left to the US for my further studies and in 2002 the Sports Authority have registered a FIR against me and the police issued an non bailable warrant, meanwhile during my absence police came to my house many times but due to my absence they could not arrest me, however during this tenure I have visited India several times also. Recently I came to know that if an non bailable warrant is not served or is pending for 5-7 years then it becomes invalid and cannot be revoked. Is this true?
