Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Hi All,

On last year Dec 15 my sister got married by running with her lover. after this incident I really upset and I told my mom I am not going to support her anymore and I am ready to say she is not my sister legally.

But what happened is from that boy side their parents filed a complaint saying "boy missing". now she is briefing officials to find her son. I am from virudhunagar which is in tamilnadu, Now I am staying in Bangalore. So when I am leaving my native I have visited my nearest police station and given a oral complaint like I am not having touch with my sister what she did is on her own risk above she is 21 years old she has the right to shape her own life. So I requested police not to contact me regarding this case. that boy's native police station is different. now from that police station they are calling me at my office time and asking so many questions to me on the other hand they are forcing me to come there for enquiry. I have told them clearly I am working on a organisation I can't take leave at any time. but they are threatening me like tell me your address we will come there otherwise we will track your sim card and find your dress like this so many things.

I need to get rid of this issue as soon as possible because it is affecting my professional life a lot. police officials asking me to search my sister I dont want to do that :(. I am really afraid of my life now...

Note : I didnt got any information about my sister yet.

any ways to get out of this issue? I want peace in life infact everyone does.

Thanks in advance...

she is your sister after all. you need to help the police find her and the boy. later you may assent to their marriage but there whereabouts need to be known.

The Police have no business to harass you by phone calls and threats to disturb your peace and reputation in office/ career. No matter whether your sister committed any wrong ( much less a crime) or not. Take protection through lawyer. [email protected]. Offices in Chennai and Bangalore
