Anticipatory bail

Since am out of India, and my bail was applied in chennai and getting expired on Nov 5th. Is it necessary for me to go back? MY circumstances does not allow me to travel at this moment. What shall i Do?

In any circumstances, applicant must appear in Court for the grant of either bail or extension in bail. In the absence, grace of the bail may be vacated. Please note bail is is mercy and not right.

you can file for extension of anticipatory bail. you will not be required to go personally.

you can authorise the lawyer for moving an application for extension of bail or grant of permanent bail.

You should appear before the court on the date fixed otherwise your bail may be cancelled and the court may issue your arrest warrants and forfeit the security.

If before proceeding abroad the court's permission have been obtained by you then you can easily claim exemption from personal appearance and extend bail thru a lawyer.
