What if the wife got a letter that said her husband is having an affair and she wants to get a divorce. Will the husband be sent to jail for infidelity if the only evidence is the letter?

Re: arrested
the letter alone may not be sufficient to prove adultery; however, the husband may be guilty of cruelty if the charge is true.

Re: arrested
merely on the basis of letter, an offence of adultery cannot be proved. for that the evidence of person is required with whom the adultery was committed or she has to be arrayed as an accused along with husband. its a tedious process but it is a good ground for divorce on the grounds of adultery.

No jail only on the basis of a letter.
