Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

I had given blank cheque to one party on good faith for aggresive selling. I was in serivce with share market company. I was new in city and unknown with people of city.

I had given cheque to party as he will do some busines with company where I am in service with understanding that he will not deposite cheque in bank. After some period party didnot made any deposite not did any more business. As such I made stopped payment of cheque given to party with a request to bank that cheque is misplace. After 46 days of I made stopped payment the party presented cheque of big amount which was returned by bank. Now party has made a complain that he has paid me in cash amount as long friendship relation which is wrong.

Now what to do

Proceed with trial. Have effective cross of the complainant. Adduce necessary defence evidence. There appears good chances that this case would be dismissed/rejected and you would be acquitted.
