Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
A case has been filed against me and my parents by my wife in the court under Domestic Violence and dowery.No Fir has been written .Another complaint has been given In CAW by her against me and my parents.What legal action will be taken against us and also what r the implications for not accepting the summons.I am an army oficer and my official address has been given in the court.How can i save me and my parents from not getting appeared in the court.My parents are in pune, i am posted in Meerut and wife has filed the case in Delhi.What r the legal implications.

(a) The matter is serious. The legal implications are : criminal prosecution which may lead to a possible jail term.
(b) Avoidance of summons may not provide you required protection.
(c) You should try for an amicable out of court settlement and reach a compromise with your wife.
Alternatively, you may consider returning her dowry /istridhan through the local police; and provide her adequate maintenance.
either your wife has also asked law guru for relief or it is either wife or husband who playing pranks???
