Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

There is a case registered against a media reporter and group of people who tried to interview 2 witnesses of the Bangalore blast case and she tried to publish a news saying "witnesses doesn't know about the case at all and they are utilized by the govt/police on this regard".

Is it correct to interview and publish the details from a witness of case in which judicial process is on going?

This kind of interview or discussion might be for manipulating the witness words right?

or this kind of people(so called media reporters/secularists) might be trying to come up with a adjustment with these witness ?

What IPC states about these kind of incidents?

Thanks

Ranjith

the media cannot publish such reports and in case they have the material in their hands, they may hand over the same to investigating officer or the court. no publication shall jeopardise the proceedings pending in the court.
