Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
charge sheet was not filed on 60 day but not filed till today. today is the 62 day 28-dec-2010 but our state court there were court holidays that started from 25 Dec and will end on 3rd January.but they are court holidays not public holidays so will 3rd January be considered as the 60 day or the 60 days cycle is completed and does the vigilance department have power to file charge sheet at magistrate home during court holidays as they are working days for vigilance department.i will be really very very thankful for a early reply.

Criminal Courts are on duty round the clock. Even on any holiday, judge holding charge of vacation court sit in the court.
Therefore, there is no holiday for criminal courts and consequently no extention of time.
