Cheque Bounce - Promsory Note - Regarding
Hi, 28 months back I had given 40K to my friend and i took a promisory note (on his name) for 40K with Rs. 2 as Interest(by now it is 22K). And as a support and safe side i also asked for the blank cheque (on Company name) which is signed and without any date. Now he is not returning the money. What are the different ways to get it back. He has changed the company name, address and hopefully the bank account might also be closed. Will that cheque be useful in any ways? How to go with the Promisory Note? What is the validity period for a Promisory note? I am in need of money very urgently. I am in many problems and can't spend any time and money as my situation is bad. He is a small or growing up film producer so if i got to court or police, he will have more influence and chances of winning are less - am i right? As am very much new so please provide me the right direction.
