cheque dishonour
I had supplied material to a party,and was duly given a cheque for the same, however the party has failed to honour the same,despite verbal reminders he seems least bothered i want to know whats the correct procedure to recover the dues from him.

For recovering of money, you need to approach civil court. For bringing your debtor to terms quickly, you may also consider filing 138 NI case.

get the cheque bounced and get a notice served on him within 30 days and then file a case within 30 days after 15 days of receipt of notice.

You may file complaint u/s.138 N.I.Act and also recovery suit.
