contempt of court?

one of the accused in 498-A case obtained bail from lower court and left India with out court permission.the accused has not been attending for court proceedings and criminal proceedings are pending since 2 years..dose it come under contempt of the court? how a court can take action against that accused?

If an accused any of the terms of the bail order, the court may consider application for cancellation of bail.

the court can declare him the proclaimed offender and can also attach his properties to compell his surrender

For contempt, there has to be disregard to the court orders.

Court can cancel his bail and issue arrest warrant. Further, notices can also be issued to surety. Once, the warrant comes unexecuted for the want of the accused. Court can proclaimed the accused to be an absconder and attach his assets.
