Regarding Court Hearing

I have a criminal case proceeding in India. I am in abroad for work and unable to go for hearings. My lawyer is filling petition in my absence. How many hearings can we miss? Any limitations?

no,but when court direct,you have to attend in court.

No such law entitling you to escape from your appearance in court.Advised to appear in court. In your absence said case will not proceed and will not be cocluded.

All the criminal trials are required to be heard and disposed of expeditiously. By law, you are required to authorise your lawyer to conduct the matter in your absence or else the court may take suitable steps to secure your personal presence by resorting to issuance of warrant.

it depends on the case which is going against u.

in petty matters u can be exempted as long as ur lawyer can

in serious matters the situation may be different.
