Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

my cousin was chargesheeted for the crime u/s 294,323, 506(1) during the year 2007. Though my cousin was highly innocent, the case was filed having personal motive with one of the policeman. Now my cousin is highly dejected and unable to carryout any work as he is totally upset about the bad event. But there is no progress in the case after chargesheet. The case is still in the stage of F/S ( fresh summon) since 2007. Is there any chance of getting the case dismissed. As my cousin is not capable of hiring an advocate, he would like to know whether any chance of getting he case at the existing court or the superior court. KIndly guide him.

Automatic closure of case is difficult, that too in a span of only 4 years.

If your friend has no financial capacity to engage a lawyer, consider applying for legal aid.
