Criminal case - Chargesheet not filed after 90 days

In 307 case, police have not filed the chargesheet even after the expiry of 90 days.

If I understant correctly as per law Police must file chargesheet after 90 days?

What is the nest step to take in this situation.

It is urgent and I need to get the chargesheet filed by Police so that I can proceed further with rest of work.

By non-filing of charge sheet, accused become entitled to bail by default U/s.167(2) Cr.P.C.

Apart from entitlement of accused to bail, no other consequences.

You can consider approaching the superior officer of the police department or the court to expedite the matter.

If charge sheet is not filed within the stipulated period, the accused may be entitled to bail.
