Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

This is regarding a criminal case - 498 A. There are list of witnesses mentioned in the Charge sheet of 498 A - Wife, Wife parents, 5 witnesses ( mostly her relatives), Police SI, police CI. During the trials, will only these witnesses be considered from Prosecution end ( from complainant/wife side) or can she add additional witnesses also during the trials ?

An application may be made to the Court for producing any additional witness / evidence / material which may support their case. It will be for the court to pass appropriate order on such application, after hearing objection, if any.

depending on circumstances the prosecution may apply to the court to call additional witnesses/ documents etc.
