Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Dear sir, my grandmother is exploiting my mother and father, especially mother mentally for 20 years. when i was child i was not understanding this. when i was of 12 or 14 years i was understanding this but i could not do anything. and now when i am 18 years old and i am a law student, now i want to save my parents from my grandmother. i read about i.p.c. section 498a, under which it is the crime to exploit daughter in law by mother in law. can i file a police complaint against my grandmother as per the principle of locus standi? i know that there is burden of proofs on us because my mother tolerated for 20 years. but what should i do to protect my mother and father?
