Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

Dear Sir,

A civil land dispute case is in trial in the court. A person has forged my signature and submitted to court for dismiss the suit and court gave that suit is not pressed. I filed a case that my signature is forged and sent for forensic lab. Reports came not yet opened. But, now opposite party called for compromise. But i wanted to file a criminal case on other guy who forged my signature. Criminal complaint not on the land who purchased. In this situation, can i go for civil case compromise.

If I compromise in civil case, is it possible to file a criminal case?. Is there any time bar to file a case u/s 420/468/471 IPC?

You may file a criminal complaint including the complaint for Perjury u/s 340 Cr PC for playing fraud with the court in leading false evidence. Secondly compromise in civil suit would depend upon the terms of your compromise. If you agree not to initiate criminal complaint in the civil suit compromise, then certainly it will be difficult for you to proceed with criminal complaint
