Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Someone from New Delhi has fled a civil suit against me on the basis of a forged document. The forgery has just been discovered and the person, thus caught, is furious and intimidating me with violent reactions, expressed to a close relative of mine. I am apprehending physical assault when I attend the courts at New Delhi and wish to lodge a police complaint by a GD entry. Now I am in a fix as to where to lodge the complaint. As a resident of Kolkata, should I go to my local P.S. or because this person is from New Delhi, do I have to lodge the complaint at New Delhi?
