Delivery of Summons

1. How the court summons are delivered to the accused/witnesses in criminal cases in India?

2. What to do to know the status of a summon delivered long back but no records are found as to whether the recipient accepted it or not?

1. By police generally. In some cases, even by post.

Generally by post.

you can file an application before the court for issuance of warrant of arrest.
