Difference between seniour and juniour lawyer

in a pracicing court some lawyers are referred as seniour where as some are referred as juniour what is the difference between the two

Senior and Junior Lawyers are known by their experience of years of practice. generally a lawyer having experience more than 10 years is called a senior lawyer. It is sometimes a junior lawyer is more knowledgeable than a senior lawyer in certain current matters.

In courts other than High Courts and Supreme Court, senior and junior are literally mean senior and junior in terms of years of practice. Whereas, in High Courts and Supreme Court, Bench designate certain eminent lawyers as Senior Counsels.
