What action can be taken against a dishonoured cheque issuer and what is the time limit to file a case ?

both civil & criminal action can be taken.
in civil case time limit is three years like money suit.in criminal case demand notice has to be served withen one month.

File complaint U/ 138 Negotiable Instrument Act.Limitation is 60 days from the date of issuance of Legal notice.Take advise of an advocate.
