Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Domestic Voilence
Sir,
My sister got married 6 years back and now she has two issues with her. Her inlaws use to beat her and harrass her by demanding materialistic goods and always dominate her. Kindly guide in this case what steps should we take to protect my sister from her in laws. But at this stage we don't want to take any harsh action like filing of Dowry case u/s 498A. we want to create only the fear of law in the eyes of the inlaws of my sister. Kindly guide should we file the case under domestic voilence Act or do somethig else?
Also guide is it not possible for us to file the dowry case against her in laws after seven years of marriage?
