Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

email as an evidence in court

my wife sent an email full of confessions, admitting the wrong things done by her in the past. but now recently she has logged false 498 A case on me.

can an email stand as valid evidence in the court of law in india? if so how can it be proved that it belongs to the sender only? also can cell phone recording also be submitted as valid proof in court? please guide me.
