Does voice recording, can act as a major evidence? If yes, how can the court know, that it is tampered or not?

no it is a corroborative evidence and the procedure to lead such evidence is very peculiar and not routine Unless such precautions are taken such evidence is not admissible

voice recording is a bleak piece of evidence and you have to prove the authenticity of the same by other evidence also.

Voice recording or tape recorded evidence is admissible evidence if tendered in accordance with the rules made in that behalf. This kind of evidence is normally corroborative evidence.

Tampering or otherwise of tape recorded evidence can be ascertained from Forensic Labs.
