Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
An eye hospital which performed free eyecam 50 patient lost the sight due to negligence of the doctor. the district collector has ordered for a official enquiry and not complained to file a FIR on the erred Staff!- Sice this is a permanent privation of sight of either eye or eyes and is a grevious injury does the FIR can be filed under section 320 of IPC on the erred Doctor and Staff ? Is it not the duty of the collector to inform the medical council of India as there is professional negligence which has costed the loss of sight of 50 patients. The incidence has occured in july 2008 and can I file a public litigation case on the district collector and the hospital authorities? under criminal proceedings (Cr.PC)- Doctor Noel

You can file PIL for compensation.
File a criminal complaint and register FIR.
You can also petition the Medical Council. However, the Medical Council is usually sympathetic to Doctors. But you cab try.
