Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
One FIR has been registered against one person under section 454,498A & 506 IPC in the the district of Ghazipur on dated 29th December'2010 at 3.30 p.m.I have the FIR copy with me and the accused person resides in varanasi which is 3 hours journey from ghazipur District in U.P Till date the accused person has not been arrested ,please let me know what is the maximum time limit for this kind of arrest And please suggest should i have to do take any step or the necessary action will be done from the legal departments.

it is not necessary to arrest the accused as per latest amendments in criminal procedure code, if the accused joins the investigation.
