Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
I am a foreigner convicted for 5 years' imprisonment in India.
I do not have money to pay bail and also to pay rent for accomodation in India. Hence will I be able to shift my personal effects to jail? Do I have to pay jail authorites money to store my household luggage?
What is the process I should follow for shifting my household items overseas before I start the sentence? If I do not get sufficient time can I request the judge to give me more time to transport my luggage overseas. Can I go abroad to receive my luggage and then return to India to serve the sentence.?
What is the procedure for deportation once my sentence is served? Will the government pay my ticket to go overseas?
