Alibi is generally regarded as a defence to be proved by an accused during trial.
During investigation of the crime, the police are also required to investigate into version of an accused. However, most of police avoid this.
In such circumstances, by approaching the high court for quashing, you would atleast get necessary directions for thorough investigation into the aspect of alibi.
