my friend got judgement in cheque bounce case as one year imprisonment, no fine and 30 days for appeal......
on what ground can he get released from imprisonment and how many times can v apply 4 appeal....
what s the procedure to avoid imprisonment, kindly brief

The only method t avoid improsonment is to get acquitted and the best method is to compromise the matter. You can file appeal in Distt. Court once and then in High Court then in Supreme Court. But there are little chances that you can get acquittal.
Appeal is your right and he will be release on bail by appellate court, Your counsel will guide you properly the grounds. Coz we cannot suggest you the best way, without going through the judgment for imprisonment and copy of complaint.
