Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

my friend and i were working in a BPO.When we return from our shift by bike late night, cop caught us and asked for license and registration.My friend has license but he doesn't has the bike's registration with him.So the cop said this vehicle could be a theft one and took us to the nearby police station. And before my friends brother could come with the required documents they took our name and address.They also took our finger prints and updated in their system. After that we showed them the documents and went home with the bike.We asked the cop under what section this one comes and they said class 41(I'm not sure). We are also planning to apply for a passport next month.Does this gonna affect our future in any ways??

Unless a crime is register, mere taking of name, address, finger prints by police may not be of any consequence for passport.
